Clamp the workpiece securely before drilling.

Keep the bit straight and aligned with the work surface.

Operate the drill slowly while applying light, controlled pressure.

Use a suitable cutting lubricant when working with metal.

Allow the drilling section to create the hole before the threaded section enters.

Reverse the drill slowly to remove the bit and release metal chips.

Stop immediately if the bit jams, overheats or becomes damaged.

Disconnect the drill before changing or cleaning the bit.
